The Japanese designer Sadaharu HOSHINO was born in 1978. After graduating from Bunka Fashion College of Tokyo, he studied at The Nottingham Trent University of Art and Design (TNTU), then graduated from Institut Français de la Mode (IFM).
Hoshino won the American Express Innovation Award by Alexander McQueen at the Graduate Fashion Week of London in 2001. Thereafter, he studied under Alexander McQueen, working on the Spring/Summmer 2002 and Autumn/Winter 2002/03 collection as an assistant designer.
Having launched his own label "ES" in 2003, he made his debut as a guerrilla presentation in Paris the following year. Since Autumn/Winter 2005/06, ES officially participates in Paris fashion week.
