On Thursday 15th December 2005, as a part of the Kontrast exhibition, MAF vzw, in collaboration with the Antwerp ModeNatie, was auctioning fifty sets of typical Russian Matryoshka dolls for charity.
These blanc wooden dolls were decorated by a number of young talented contemporary artists, fashion designers, graphic designers, street artists and jewel designers.
The dolls were auctioned for charity: a nice new year for the children in the Red Cross Flanders’ shelter homes for asylum seekers.
The Matryoshka dolls were on exhibition from Saturday 10th untill Saturday 23th December 2005 in the Forum of the ModeNatie.
