text What started in the 80's as a group of Belgian designers, has since evolved into a phenomenon that is internationally acknowledged.
Nowadays the Antwerp fashion academy's fame attracts an ever-increasing number of foreign students.
After graduating, their ties with Antwerp remain strong and as a result they are seen as Belgian designers, despite their nationality.
As well as their cultural identity, stimulated during their time at the academy, in their creativity the Antwerp signature stays important.

It is through the use of images that designers give shape to their collections' own image.
Catwalk shows, photographs and video are their medium. It transcends the anecdote and becomes communication.
