Lutz Hüller, a native of Remscheid, spent 3 years working for Martin Margiela after completing his Fashion Design studies at St. Martin's College of Art in London.
He took a creative break in 1999 in order to investigate what it was that disturbed him about clothing. His first collection, which was shown in Paris in February of 2000, was created during this period. This first collection is part of a concept which is developed further in each subsequent collection.
