20 years ago, the slogan Fashion, This is Belgian was launched as an extra creative and economical stimulus for the textile industry.
20 years later, Belgian fashion has acquired international fame and the Flanders Fashion Institute looks back at and forward to these fashion phenomena.
The question mark in the exhibition’s title refers to the international character of Belgian fashion whereas the exclamation mark confirms that there is indeed a ‘Belgian’ fashion that is perceived as being very authentic.
