This season A.F. Vandevorst had investigated different ideas:
TRADITIONAL/CLASSIC
A traditional garment is turned into a classical one. A Japanese kimono turned into a blazer or a coat. Even a blouse and a large skirt show us references to this traditional piece of clothing. One skirt falls onto the floor and is pleated in an intricate way. A play with volume is visible in a large kimono-coat because of a belt that narrows down the silhouette and gives way to a new shape.
FRONT/BACK
A basic garment is worn inverted. The back of the jacket becomes the front, the trousers open and close in the back, the bustier of the dress has been given a new place. The fit is impeccable.
