Geert Bruloot graduated in 1975 at Saint-Lucas in Ghent.
In 1983, together with Eddy Michiels, he opened the shoe shop Coccodrillo.
Soon after he came in contact with the people who would become known as the Antwerp Six.
Around the same time he co-ordinated the 'Gouden Spoel' shows in Brussels, Tokyo and Tsukuba. In 1985 he also did the graphic design for Dries Van Noten.
One year later, again together with Eddy Michiels, he opened a second shop: Louis.
Geert was co-founder of Mode Antwerpen, which later became the Flanders Fashion Institute.
With the Flanders Fashion Institute he is still cultural ambassador for Flanders.
In 2002 he sold his shop Louis to Marjan Eggers.
