The Austrian designer Edwina Hörl founded her own label in 1996. Since 2000, she lives and works in Japan. She is considered one of the most important Austrian representatives of the international fashion avant-garde.
The main motif of Edwina Hörl's fashion is the application. The looks are created not through the silhouette, but rather through the wearer's identification with the space created by body and clothing. In the creation of her collections, Edwina Hörl merges different approaches: experimental draping, re-interpretations of classic or traditional patterns from various origins, historical and personal memories as well as interpretations of appearances in public spaces.
